We moved to Kentucky!

Hello Everyone.

That's right, Ken and I moved to Kentucky. He applied everywhere for positions in Civil Engineering and soon enough, he was invited to work for Toyota at the National Headquarters in Erlanger, Kentucky. He was invited back to his previous employer, but the offer was weak. So we jumped in a U-Haul with all our belongings, our animals, and open hearts on Thursday, April 14th and here we are. So far everything has been great. Our friend Garrett (who lives in Louisville) came over to visit on Saturday and we had dinner in Cincinnati with our cousins on Sunday. I am currently looking into Nursing Programs at schools nearby. I need to take some pre-req's at Cincinnati State or University of Cincinnati and then I will apply to their Nursing Programs as well as Northern Kentucky University. The community we live in is beautiful and shopping is conveniently located. Today has been sort of a rainy day but the birds are still chirping. I am busy filling out applications and gathering information about each college. Onward.

Decisions Decisions

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while and I am sure you all are wondering what has been happening since my last post. Life has changed for the better. I have decided not to pursue Medical School at Ross University. There are many reasons why I have made this decision, but overall I was not happy with the sense that this career was going to completely take over my life. I knew it was going to be tough and I was up for the challenge, but once I was in the position I was undeniably crestfallen. Nonetheless, I would still like to move forward in the Medical world. I know I am meant to care for others and I will never give up my aspirations. Ken and I are back in Michigan and we are doing great. Happy, Healthy, Walking, Talking. I am currently looking into Nursing and Physician Assistant programs and Ken is searching for Master’s Degree Level Civil Engineering opportunities. In the meantime, I have completed a C.N.A course to enhance my experiences in hopes to provide direct patient care. Henry Ford Health System has invited me back to join the research team. It’s good to be back and I am positive that this is God’s plan for me.
